After an extremely slow start to the game where Morton looked extremely nervous, the Potters eventually settled into the game to take 65-51 win and advance to the 3A championship game.
Saturdays contest between the #12 ranked Simeon Lady Wolverines and the #6 Nazareth Roadrunners proved to be the matchup that everyone had hoped for. Despite trailing for three quarters Simeon used a dominating fourth quarter to defeat Nazareth 57-48 on Saturday afternoon.
Usually known for their high pressure defense to try and speed teams up, the No. 4 Roadrunners, slowed things down a bit in the second half by switching to a zone look. The change in scheme worked, as Nazareth only gave up 16 second half points to defeat Whitney 64-49, and improving their record to 22-2 overall record.
