Illinois Preps Insider’s girls basketball top-20: Week 3

Maybe it’s time to start giving Fenwick some love.

The Friars knocked off yet another top-20 team in Marian Catholic and have now won six games in a row, but it’s so hard for me to justify putting a six loss team in the top-20 this early in the year.

I saw Fenwick lose to Warren earlier this season but I can’t imagine this is the same team who lost six of their first eight contests. Might have to make a trip out to Oak Park soon.

In other news, Mother McAuley bounced back in a big way, you can read about that here, and just as Homewood-Flossmoor looked to be turning the corner, they drop one to a very good Lincoln-Way East side.

One quick note, although it looks like Bolingbrook rolled through Benet, that was the Red Wing’s JV team that they played. I really want to see the Raiders play some sort of reasonable opponent.
