Illinois Preps Insider’s girls basketball rankings: Week 4
Benet is pretty darn good.
The Redwings beat a very good Bolingbrook team without their starting point guard Tsimba Malonga in pretty convincing fashion to take the Benet/Naperville North tournament title.
Not a whole lot of changes this week, but I expect that to change drastically after the holiday tournament. Have you seen the field at Montini? The four quarterfinal games could easily be a championship game at any other tournament. It’s going to be brutal.
What a field! Why would you not want to compete in this event with huge huge crowds! It’s on….. pic.twitter.com/e2MYFzPG5v

Mother McAuley is a little bit of an enigma. They had a great win against Wheaton North, but they drop out this week after their loss to Montini. The Mighty Macs are a very good team, but they’re not quite the same with Vanessa Gavin out with injury.
Let’s get on with the rankings.
1. Geneva (9-0) 1
NBC Sports Chicago “Team of the Week”
2. Maine West (13-0) 2
Heavy favorite at Dundee-Crown.
3. Montini (14-1) 3
Dominating win over Mother McAuley.
4. Nazareth (13-0) 4
