Illinois Preps Insider’s girls basketball top-20: Final 2019-20 rankings
Well, here we are. At the end of yet another girls basketball season.
It’s kind of hard to believe that this is already the third season for Illinois Preps Insider. What started as a grad school final product just kinda stuck around.
For the first time in three seasons though, a 3A team will be taking the top spot. Simeon deserve it. They wen’t through Montini, and came back to beat Morton on what was essentially their home floor.
Oh, and they also beat Fremd and Maine West in the regular season for good measure.
The scary part? Aneesah Morrow and Khaniah Gardner will return next season.
Tough call for second between Montini and Fremd for the second spot, but we’ll give it to the 4A state champions who went through Halle Douglass, Angela Dugalic, Darrione Rogers, and Taylor Gugliuzza.
So without further ado, here are the final rankings of the 2019-20 season, and as a reminder the number to the right of the number reflects the preseason ranking.
See you at summer league!
