Illinois Preps Insider’s girls basketball top-20: Week of Feb. 21

Well, I’m stumped.

I really don’t know what to do with Mother McAuley and Fenwick this week. The Mighty Macs looked so good in their opening contests, and then stumbled this past week.

As I mentioned last week, I’m putting a little less stock into opening games just because there were so many moving parts and such short notice, so Fenwick stays, while Mother McAuley drops out for the time being.

Speaking of coming out of the gates firing, Maine South looked quite good in their opening matchups. Especially when you consider they were a week or two behind everybody else.

The Public League starts this week, so that’s exciting, it’ll be nice to see our number one team in action.

One final thing, if anybody is looking to add games to their schedule, let me know and I can put you in contact with other schools who are looking, I’ve been asked a few times already.
