From turnovers, to poor free throw shooting, and even book errors, the upstart Lions were never able to get anything going against a suffocating Kenwood defense and were soundly beaten by the Broncos 57-42 before the game was called with 12 seconds remaining.

Girls rankings for the week of 2/4
While the night celebrated the 50th anniversary of one of the greatest high school basketball teams in state history, Evanston celebrated a 81-66 win over Oak Park-River Forest to win their second game against ranked opponents on back to back nights.
New Trier earned a comfortable 51-35 win, holding GBS to just 11 second half points to improve to 6-1 in the CSL South.
With seeds being released tomorrow, we take a crack at picking the top-4 seeds for the class 4A sectionals.
Usually known for their high pressure defense to try and speed teams up, the No. 4 Roadrunners, slowed things down a bit in the second half by switching to a zone look. The change in scheme worked, as Nazareth only gave up 16 second half points to defeat Whitney 64-49, and improving their record to 22-2 overall record.
