Illinois Preps Insider’s girls basketball top-20: Week 10
Lake Park has been on the verge of the top-20 for seemingly weeks now but their inconsistency has usually gotten the better of them.
Well they finally got over the hump to make their debut in the top-20 with a huge win over Montini, who responded with back to back wins of Loyola, and one of Kentucky’s best teams.
Homewood-Flossmoor also make their debut this season. Let’s not forget that HF has typically had a really good program, so it’s not surprising that they have been playing well lately. Their matchup against Bolingbrook this week is really intriguing.
The middle portion of the ranking were an absolute mess the week. Loyola goes and beats Fremd, but loses to Montini in OT. Not a bad loss by any stretch, but one they would have like to had for seeding purposes.
Speaking of seeds, they come out this week and nobody has improved their profile as much as Lincoln-Way West. I know a lot of people who were looking for them to secure a signature win and they finally did so on the road against Evanston.
