Illinois Preps Insider’s Girls basketball top-20: 2019-20 week 10
Usually this is the place reserved for short, quippy, paragraphs that explain what happened during the past week to change up the rankings.
I’m not going to lie to you, I just don’t have the emotional or creativity energy to come up with such paragraphs right now.
I never met Kobe Bryant and his family, I’m not a father, hell I’m not even a Lakers fan. But for whatever reason, the news of his death this morning hit me harder than I ever could have imagined. I guess that may just be a byproduct of being a sports fan growing up in the 90s and 00s.
This one will sting the sporting world for a while, but nevertheless there is a job to do and life always moves on. And I like to think if they ever read this site, It’s what Kobe and Gigi would have wanted.
